Meet The Moment Campaign:
The how
Here’s what the Meet the Moment Campaign will enable in 2025:
- Robust energy instruction for CTE Educators at established educational gatherings, giving teachers confidence in leading energy-focused coursework and eager to add it to their offerings
- Presentations at and partnerships with educators’ organizations to build excitement about adopting energy curriculum
- Creative PR tactics to excite educators, workforce systems, career seekers and students to Meet the Moment of opportunity (yes, TikTok)
- Inventorying open-source energy curriculum and publishing a library of resources to support educators, working toward creation of universal curriculum where existing voids are identified.
- Collaborating with Skills USA to add energy-focused competitions into their national education framework for students interested in trade careers – and showing up at their June conference with a dynamic Energy Careers Discovery Zone experience encouraging students to try out the industry
- Creating another Energy Careers Discovery Zone at the FFA show, tempting 72,000 students to explore energy career path opportunities
- Expanding our presence at the Student Veterans of America conference, driving increased awareness of energy careers to students who have served our country
- Continuing CEWD’s new partnership with DECA, exposing students interested in business careers to opportunities in energy
- Publishing all the how-tos that are needed to help employers work with educators on having energy curriculum brought into their classroom, sharing examples of success from around the country, and creating a community of practitioners to support one another’s actions
- Expansion of “electives” in the Energy Industry Fundamentals Curriculum, offering even greater opportunities through the new educational resource
- Development of a Rent-an-Energy Expert Instructors Bureau to make top quality presenters accessible to all
- Development of summer externship curriculum for CTE instructors
- Creation of travel stipends and scholarships for energy education for CTE instructors at the HS and Post-Secondary levels
And with additional support, we will launch the Energy Skills Academy, the Hire PowHER program and launch the Get Into Energy scholarship program.
