Annual Report


This year-in-review chronicle recounts how workforce professionals and CEWD’s leadership responded during the historic year toward attracting, training, and retaining the talent needed within the industry – both immediate considerations initiated by the pandemic as well as critical forward-facing needs associated with the future of work. While we were not able to be together in person for the Regional Meetings or the Summit, in some ways, it feels that we were much closer than ever before, bonded by resolve, fortitude, and extreme need in navigating the lifetime supply of curveballs that came our way in 2020. Together, we addressed telework, virtual internships (and virtual everything!), distanced learning and training, career awareness, DE&I, and so much more.
