ICYMI: CEWD Launches Meet the Moment Campaign; Accepting Year End Contributions
Spurred by what can be attained – and what must be accomplished – with the establishment of the new Energy and Natural Resources Career Cluster, CEWD is proud to debut the Meet the Moment Campaign that will ensure the industry rises to meet the what’s possible of developing our talent pipeline. We urge every energy company (and/or their foundation) to contribute to this essential program. We are poised to take 2024 contributions and pledges for 2025. Contact Missy Henriksen for more information.
2024 Workforce Development Summit: It Was the Best
400 people turned to CEWD’s Workforce Development Summit this year for ideas, insights, and inspiration. The resounding refrains from the event were about how much attendees learned and how valuable the peer networking was.

New Year. New Calendar. New Opportunities.
It’s not too early to start planning for CEWD’s two signature conferences in 2025. Our DE&I Forum will take place May 12-13 in New Orleans, Louisiana and the 2025 Workforce Development Summit will take place November 18-20, in Washington, DC.
Road Trip with CEWD
ICEWD has reserved a large booth at the national Skills USA show, taking place June 23-27 in Atlanta, Georgia. We will create an Energy Careers Discovery Zone to introduce students and their educators to energy careers, especially those in the skilled trades, through experiential learning events. If you are interested in bringing a cool, interactive touch and feel type demonstration to the show, please contact [email protected] with a description of the experience you’d like to offer. We want to ensure students have a chance to connect with jobs from a wide array of business types.
The CEWD office will be closed for the holidays
December 23 – January 1
CEWD Seeks Leadership Nominations
CEWD’s Governance and Nominating Committee will begin its slating process in January for individuals to serve as directors and officers. They are looking for C-Suite level leaders eager to drive workforce development initiatives that support the development of a skilled, diverse energy workforce. The diversity of the Board is important, including diversity of professional backgrounds and experiences. We are especially eager to identify those who work outside the Human Resources space, including those in operations, community engagement, and training and development. If you or leaders from your company are interested in the possibility of serving on CEWD’s Board for a three-year term, please contact Missy Henriksen to learn more.
Happy Holidays
On behalf of the entire CEWD team, we extend our warmest holiday greetings. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to a productive and rewarding partnership in the year ahead.
