Help Build the Industry’s Virtual DE&I Library

As part of a commitment to the DE&I Roadmap for Industry Change and to creating more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces, CEWD and its partner organizations are collecting DE&I resources that can be shared within the industry. The materials will be housed on a new secure portal for the exclusive use of industry professionals. Help us stock the virtual shelves by submitting any (or all) of the following resources to staff@cewd.org by June 1:

  • Your company’s DE&I strategic plan
  • Your company’s DE&I vision/value/mission statements
  • Your maturity model
  • Examples of how DE&I metrics are incorporated into corporate goals
  • Job description for Chief Diversity Officer and other DE&I positions
  • DE&I moments your company uses
  • DE&I ERG charter
  • Materials your company uses with labor partners (e.g. diversity pledge, educational materials, etc.)
  • Information on high potential development programs

New Video Series Encourages Veterans To Explore Energy Careers

Over the next few weeks CEWD will release videos in a new series designed to encourage veterans to consider energy careers. Check out this first one that speaks directly to female veterans. We are grateful to Amber Fogarty, Stephanie Roper, Cassandra Wheeler, and Iliana Rentz for their insightful testimonials that are bound to inspire fellow veterans. Thank you to Veterans in Energy for collaborating with CEWD on the new series of videos. We encourage you to share all videos in this new series through your channels.

DOL Announces $80 Million in Infrastructure Grant Funding

The Department of Labor recently announced the Building Pathways to Infrastructure Jobs Grant Program to fund public-private partnerships that will develop, strengthen, and scale promising and evidence-based training models in occupations critical to meeting the goals of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and to maximize the impact of these investments. Providing context to the $80 million in grant funding, DOL notes the U.S. “will need a proficient workforce to fill the good-paying jobs created by this historic investment, and this grant program will train job seekers in advanced manufacturing; information technology; and professional, scientific, and technical services occupations that support renewable energy, transportation, and broadband infrastructure sectors.” Learn more here.
