CEWD and National Urban League Partnership

CEWD and the National Urban League are working together to expand diversity in the energy industry, particularly in skilled trade positions. Initially united through a grant from the Department of Labor to create pre-apprenticeship programs in select cities (Chicago, Houston, Louisville, New Orleans, and St. Louis), to prepare under-represented and systemically marginalized individuals for Registered Apprenticeship Programs in the energy industry, the Urban Energy Jobs Program and broader collaboration is scaling. CEWD is interested in talking with companies interested in partnering with their local Urban League affiliates on workforce programs, supported by a national cohort of companies, each of which is creating unique pipeline programs.
