2025-2027 Strategic Plan

CEWD’s Board of Directors has released its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan to expand the organization’s leadership in uniting energy stakeholders to attract and develop a highly skilled workforce. The plan and its associated objectives come on the eve of the organization’s 20th anniversary of workforce development stewardship, at a time when talent shortages and historic hiring demands are prompting urgent prioritization of the industry’s talent needs.
Working toward the vision of a “thriving energy workforce powering our nation,” CEWD is expanding its focus to serve as the first stop for information, collaboration, leadership, and resources for workforce planning, recruitment, development, and retention. The forward-leaning roadmap defines priorities in three areas:

  • Career Awareness and Promotion: to raise awareness, inspire interest, and attract new candidates to careers in the energy sector with targeted outreach and engagement
  • Leadership for Workforce Development: by serving as the first stop for resources to develop and retain the industry’s talent pipeline for the future
  • CEWD Member Success: advancing CEWD’s members’ success with high-value services and opportunities for collaboration and leadership
