The work I lead at DTE Energy makes me feel like I’m truly serving others by helping our customers in communities across Michigan with their energy needs.
I am proud of the work I do, which demands a full understanding of the complex processes behind delivering power especially as we move into an AI-driven future, where energy will become even more central to powering our lives.
One of my most memorable experiences was supporting a local student robotics team as part of our employee resource group’s volunteer efforts. I was inspired to join the energy industry when DTE Energy sponsored my all-girls high-school robotics team.
As the team captain, while demonstrating our robot, I shared my contact information with a DTE manager, who was mentoring our team. Within weeks, I joined DTE as a co-op student and have been with our company ever since.
For anyone considering a career in energy, go for it!
