Having a career in the energy industry has been extremely rewarding. Operating large and complex equipment, including boilers and steam turbines, has been a goal of mine since studying engineering at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Since beginning my career as a Utility Operator at WIN Waste Innovations and progressing to the role of Operations Manager, much of my professional growth and development can be attributed to the people I work with each day.
Being surrounded by strong leadership has been invaluable. The individuals around me are committed to helping one another succeed and consistently provide the support and resources needed to expand knowledge both as an operator and as a manager. Working alongside like-minded professionals who are passionate about the energy industry not only creates a positive and engaging work environment but also strengthens operational expertise, helping the facility run more efficiently.
My colleagues have also helped shape my understanding of industry trends and the challenges we face. Their insight and collaboration have inspired me to think more innovatively and continuously look for ways to improve the facility and the work we do every day.
