I feel proud of the work that I do because of the indirect impact it has on others. I work in the compensation department, so we are trying to compensate people fairly through a variety of rewards. The total rewards we offer create a desirable environment for talent attraction and high performance. I believe this leads to a safer environment for our field employees and a reliable, cost-effective service for our customers. Contributing to a critical resource like energy offers a deep level of purpose knowing the necessity it is for people and businesses. Especially in the states we serve and the severe weather conditions we experience.
I have to know about the job content, what employees do, for all the jobs across the organization. This allows for networking with so many great people who are passionate about the work they do. Getting to know the people my analysis impacts make me proud of the work that goes into it.
