What makes me most proud of my work is watching my scholars light up (sometimes literally) as they explore how energy powers the world around them. In our Makerspace at Rose Hill School, learning isn’t confined to textbooks; it’s hands-on, creative, and full of discovery. Whether we’re engineering wind turbines during our Windmill Wars challenge or experimenting with solar circuits, students learn that energy isn’t just science, but it’s also innovation, sustainability, and possibility.
Many of my scholars are seeing these concepts for the first time, and it’s powerful to watch them connect what they’re learning in class to real-world careers in clean energy. They begin to understand that they can be part of building a brighter, more sustainable future.
I’m proud to help them see themselves as problem-solvers and changemakers—to show them that their ideas, curiosity, and creativity can make a difference in the world. I’m also deeply grateful to Clearloop and KidWind for their commitment to Energize STEM. Through our partnership, I’ve learned so much about clean energy and have been able to bring learning to life for my scholars in ways that truly matter.
