I’ve been a Designs Engineer in the energy industry for almost three years, but my connection to Chevron goes way back. You could even say it all started when I was just six months old, as that’s when my dad began working as an Operator at Chevron Pascagoula. Growing up, I watched him put in long hours and always do his best for our family. Because of his dedication, we enjoyed a sense of stability, and he always reminded me how blessed we were for the opportunities his job made possible.
My dad didn’t just talk about work—he brought me into the Chevron world whenever he could. I got to meet his colleagues at fire and rescue trainings, and tag along for Family Fun Days. Those experiences showed me the close bonds and pride that came with being part of Chevron, and they really stuck with me. It made me realize early on that I wanted to build my own future here—not just for myself, but because I could see how much it had given our family.
Now, at 25 and recently married, I’m proud to wear the same Chevron logo my dad wore for all those years. Following in his footsteps feels pretty special, and I do my best every day to live up to the reputation he’s built. Chevron has made a huge difference in my life and for my family, and I’m excited to keep that legacy going.
