New Leadership Team Announced for CEWD

CEWD has announced the new leadership team that will guide the organization’s work to develop a highly skilled energy workforce. Mark Lindgren, Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications and Chief Human Resources Officer, Ameren Services, has succeeded Sheila Rostiac, Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources and Diversity Officer as CEWD Board’s Chair. Melanie Berman (NiSource), Daniella Piper (NYPA), and Tracey Steiner (Rappahannock Electric Cooperative) will serve as Vice Chairs. Reminder: Call for Nominations for 2025 Impact Awards

impact awards logoNominations are now being accepted for the 2025 Impact Awards that honor excellence by individuals, companies, and consortia affiliated with CEWD for their leadership of workforce development initiatives that will have a lasting impact on the development of a highly skilled talent pipeline for the energy sector. Recognition will be offered for community engagement, personal leadership, corporate leadership, veterans’ programming, and difference making work by an energy consortium. Learn more here. Submissions are due by September 30. The deadline will not be extended.

Two Limited Opportunities for Non-CEWD Members

CEWD’s extensive work to support the industry’s workforce development priorities is supported primarily by membership contributions. If you are not yet a member of CEWD, we are proud to offer two opportunities to “get to know us.”

CEWD Brings Energy Careers to Life at Skills USA

Thanks to support of the Meet the Moment Campaign, CEWD hosted a booth at Skills USA’s National Leadership and Skills Conference to introduce students and educators to careers in energy, highlighting the new Energy and Natural Resources Career Cluster. This event targets an audience used to competing in skills-based competitions focused around the 16 legacy clusters. Housed in the “try-a-skill” area, booth visitors enjoyed a variety of hands on experiences to connect with the industry.
