CEWD Launches Consulting Network to Help Energy Companies Build Stronger Workforce Strategies

New service offering provides boutique workforce development consulting and advisory support tailored to the evolving needs of the energy sector

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 11, 2026 — The Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) today announced the launch of the CEWD Consulting Network, a new offering designed to help energy companies strengthen workforce development strategies, expand talent pipelines, and address the complex people challenges shaping the industry’s future.

The CEWD Consulting Network offers executive-level advisory services grounded in CEWD’s two decades of workforce leadership and informed by a network of subject matter experts. The program is built for organizations seeking practical, industry-informed guidance on workforce planning, strategic partnerships, labor market intelligence, retention and succession planning, systems strategy, and pilot program design.

Through the Consulting Network, CEWD will support organizations with customized talent pipeline architecture, partnership development for pre-apprenticeship and pre-hire training, market and economic data assessment, retention and succession strategies, state-level systems planning, and the design of innovative apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship pilots. Engagements will remain aligned with CEWD’s mission of building a highly skilled workforce for the energy sector.

“The energy sector is facing a workforce moment that demands both strategy and execution,” said Missy Henriksen, executive director of CEWD. “With the launch of the CEWD Consulting Network, we are extending our ability to help companies move from recognizing workforce challenges to implementing solutions that are practical, scalable, and rooted in deep industry knowledge.”

For 20 years, CEWD has helped convene employers, labor, educators, associations, and community partners to strengthen the energy workforce ecosystem. That experience gives the organization a unique vantage point on the trends, partnerships, and operational realities shaping talent strategy across the industry.
To ensure a high-touch service model, CEWD is accepting a limited number of consulting engagements. Organizations interested in exploring support through the CEWD Consulting Network can contact CEWD for more information.
