Happy New Year! Happy 15 Years!
The flip of the calendar has ushered in the New Year, one we hope will be filled with good health, happiness, and prosperity for all. With this year’s calendar change, we proudly mark CEWD’s 15th year of service to the industry. As many are aware, CEWD was formed in 2006 to unite the industry around critical workforce development issues. We are proud of what has been accomplished thus far and excited about the industry collaboration that will guide us forward. We look forward to honoring this anniversary milestone in the year ahead but in the meantime, a huge thank you to the companies and individuals who have established the foundation for CEWD’s work.
2021 Gaps in the Energy Workforce Survey: For Those Who Need Industry Workforce Data
Next month we will field the 2021 Gaps in the Energy Workforce Survey, gathering data that will be used by workforce development leaders throughout the industry. The results will show expected industry employment demand, insight into the makeup of our workforce, what challenges we might expect to see, and a variety of other useful pieces of information. In addition to offering information about the industry as a whole, all participants will receive personalized results that compare their data to national norms. CEWD Will Expand Membership Base in 2021
CEWD’s Board of Directors unanimously endorsed changes to CEWD’s membership criteria that will now welcome those who work with renewables, electric vehicle infrastructure support, and energy storage into the organization as well as energy business partners as associate members. Community Group Platform to Be Relaunched
CEWD’s General Workforce Development Workrooms, our online networking communities, are getting an upgrade. Information will be sent in the upcoming weeks to provide information on accessing the new platform, etc.
This member benefit serves as a resource that allows CEWD members an opportunity to participate in virtual communities, to discuss and share best practices on topics such as workforce planning, diversity, equity and inclusion, recruitment of veterans, EIF, and more.
Last Call for Accessing the 2020 Workforce Development Summit Platform
Educational sessions from the 2020 Workforce Development Summit can still be accessed here through the end of January. They can help with employee training, professional development, corporate planning, benchmarking, and best practice review. After the end of January, the sessions will be removed and will not be archived.
