I served as an advisor for the Explorers program, a workforce development initiative aimed at youth ages 14-21, and managed the summer intern program for high school students during my time working in Human Resources.
We had some students who were a part of the Explorers program that were accepted into the high school intern program for the summer. One of my favorite students who participated was a wallflower in her first year of the program. She came back for a second year, and she completely blossomed, she was a superstar. After she graduated from high school, she sent me a lovely e-mail to tell me how impactful I had been on her journey which was so heart-warming.
