IN HER OWN WORDS:
My mother-in-law broke ground before me. She was one of the first women to become a gas line worker in Michigan. She had four kids at home when she started. She worked every day and still made time to go to every union meeting.
I’m proud that I spoke up and took a big risk during our last contract negotiations. In my opinion, our union people should be training and teaching our continuous education offered to all call center representatives. I was happy that the Michigan State Council backed this idea and we now have a new training committee in our contract
