The energy industry has been rooted in my family for three generations, 70 years. My grandfather originated from coal country Appalachia, growing up in extreme poverty during the Great Depression. After returning home from WWII to work in the coal mines, he aspired to build a better life. In 1955 he found that better life with Atlantic City Electric- Generating Plant, Deepwater NJ. He uprooted his young family and moved to New Jersey. Little did he know at that time, his decision, hard work ethic and loyalty would continue for generations. The tradition followed through to my father in 1987 and then for myself in 2014. I was blessed to benefit from the life those before me built from this industry. But most of all consider it an honor to carry with me their determination, loyalty and admiration those before me had towards Atlantic City Electric (Exelon). I bring myself to work every day in hopes of inspiring the next generation of utility professionals to have the same passion bestowed in me.
