Johnson’s role goes beyond collecting payments. Her duties include engaging directly with customers door-to-door to provide guidance, support, and solutions.
In her own words:
I was inspired to join the utility industry when I saw other women hesitant about working in a job they thought would only be for men. I wanted to challenge myself, break stereotypes, and show that women can thrive in roles that men could do too.
I’m proud of how I have worked my way up to be the resilient field collector I am now. I doubted myself so many times when others would push me and have more confidence in myself than I did. I am so grateful for the village I have; they made me realize that I matter too.
The advice I would give to future women leaders would be, don’t just follow the path, reshape it!
