I started working for an electric and gas utility during college, where I was exposed to the industry for three summers. I had great mentors who gave me responsibilities and held me accountable at an early age. I transitioned into the natural gas side of the business, working for 38 years in utility engineering, distribution system operation and maintenance operations at Ameren Missouri.
I’m currently serving as a Senior Professional at AEGIS Insurance Services in the Loss Control Division. I interact with professionals in industry organizations to advance the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas. Through these partnerships, we share insights, tackle challenges, and drive improvements in pipeline safety standards. I also work with gas utilities on risk mitigation and discuss best practices in our industry. My passion for the natural gas industry runs deep, and I strive to inspire others through collaboration and sharing lessons learned.
I find, if you approach each task with the mindset that “every job and every task matters,” you’ll find purpose and pride in the work you do. In my current role, being able to share my experiences with utilities across the country, I am continuously learning and find it very rewarding to help move the industry forward.
