The Ohio Energy Workforce Consortium (OHEWC) has officially been announced. It will bring together energy employers, labor, educators, and workforce partners to strengthen the state’s energy talent pipeline. Formed in response to growing demand driven by data centers, infrastructure investment, and rising electricity use, the consortium reflects a coordinated, industry-led approach to workforce development at scale. Connecting Students to Energy Careers
CEWD connected with thousands of students this month alongside partners from the IBEW, SELCAT, and Southeast Connections to highlight career opportunities in the energy industry at National SkillsUSA. Through direct engagement, students were introduced to high-demand roles and pathways into skilled trades and technical careers, helping build awareness of opportunities across the sector.
