Advance CTE Reconsiders Career Cluster Framework
CEWD has been invited to participate as a stakeholder in the reconsideration of existing Career Clusters.
As background, twenty years ago, the states and relevant organizations built and launched The National Career Clusters® Framework that guides modern-day academic disciplines. The Framework is now being reconsidered “to modernize its structure and design to ensure its relevance for current and future needs of every learner, at all levels, and of the workplace.” We expect a public comment period to guide thinking for the new framework to be open from April 1 to May 1.
CEWD will encourage appropriate industry stakeholders to engage during the comment period and will provide additional information once available.
EnergyCareers 2021 Now Welcoming Exhibitors and Sponsors
EnergyCareers 2021, our industry’s national virtual career event, will take place on October 20. We will build on the success of last year’s first-time event which attracted 1,500 registrants who were eager to learn more about what the industry has to offer and interact with companies offering internships, jobs, and insights.

Two New Communities of Practice Forming
CEWD is convening organizational meetings in April for those interested in talking about supplemental workforce challenges and another for those charged with leading training and development programs for their organizations.
Learn a bit about what the supplemental workforce group will discuss here. The training and development group will discuss a need for industry training and development benchmarking, training structures within companies, AR and VR, and more.
